In early January 2023, it was revealed that the Russian Football Union (RFU) is looking for domestic manufacturers to provide new kits after the end of its partnership with Adidas. Now the Russian sportswear manufacturer called Zasport has expressed its willingness to work with the RFU.
The story was revealed via state-run news agency TASS Russian News, making it likely that it will soon become official.
ZASPORT TO BECOME RUSSIA'S KIT MANUFACTURER
Zasport CEO Vitaly Tsygankov has stated that the company is “ready to cooperate” and meet the needs of the RFU. He also told TASS that Zasport is “ready to hold talks in the near future.”
ZASPORT SUPPLIED RUSSIA FOR THE 2018 OLYMPIC GAMES
Russian sportswear company Zasport has supplied uniforms for Russian athletes at the Olympics. To our knowledge, they have never made any official club or national football team kits.
Zasport is a sportswear manufacturer. They apparently have close connections to the Russian government. Along with many items that would fit into a global market, they also sell a Crimean jersey.
Russia has already been excluded from the qualification process for the 2024 Men's Euro.
