Special Release! 🎉: The new Borussia Dortmund 2023-2024 Away Shirt is released today , Friday, August 25, 2023 and will make its debut in the match against Bochum on Saturday, August 26, 2023 .
Fan-Inspired Design 🎨: Just like the home jersey, the BVB 23-24 away jersey was designed by fans. In fact, BVB legend Marco Reus highlighted the design in Puma's official March 2022 press release. To everyone's surprise, 17 months later, that very same jersey will be released.
It is interesting to note that this design was not originally intended to become an actual jersey, as the competition was only for the home kit. However, Puma decided to opt for a fan-designed jersey for the away model as well.
"There were so many fantastic designs in black, but this one really stood out and wowed all the jury members. So it was an obvious choice to use it as inspiration for our away jersey," explained BVB CEO Carsten Cramer.
Borsigplatz Connection 📍: The Puma Dortmund 2023-2024 Away Shirt takes inspiration from the place where Dortmund celebrate their biggest titles, featuring a graphic of an aerial view of Borsigplatz .
It is a square in Dortmund, Germany, closely associated with Borussia Dortmund (BVB). When BVB wins a major trophy, the players often celebrate on the Borsigplatz, making this jersey a real gem for fans.
Colours & Availability 🌈: In terms of colours, the Puma Dortmund 2023-2024 away jersey is primarily black, with BVB's classic "Cyber Yellow" as a secondary colour. Available from 25 August, the Puma Dortmund 2023-2024 away jersey is priced at 95 euros.
